The T.D. Jakes Talk Show Cancelled
Not so good news for Bishop T.D. Jakes. The mega preacher’s talk show, The T.D. Jakes Show, has been cancelled. After one season on the air, Tegna Media is replacing the show with BOLD, a live, multi-platform show that Tegna says will feature viewer reaction and opinion.
In a statement, Tegna said,
It is proud of the T.D. Jakes show. It has been an honor to work with T. D. Jakes and his organizations as well as our partner 44 Blue Productions. They’ve been outstanding champions in making the Jakes program a reality. Together, we produced a show that was compelling, real and the closest thing to Oprah since she left the air. Despite the quality of the show and talent, we will not pursue a second season due to the current economics of daytime TV.
So why was the show cancelled? According to the statement,

Television is tough. My husband and I watched several episodes and we liked it. That’s too bad that it is being cancelled. I wish him much success!
Tamar Braxton was talking with T.D. Jakes and another guy about a show. Iwonder if she is still going to do it. I dont hear her talking about it anymore.
