Kendall Jenner Pepsi Ad Criticized

Kendall Jenner is making headlines over a controversial Pepsi commercial. The super model and Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star is being accused of decrying the imagery as appropriation of the Black Lives Matter movement.

In the “Live for Now Moments” ad, which also feat. “Lions” by Skip Marley, Kendall innocently does a photo shoot, while she notices that protestors are walking by. Contemplating on what’s happening, she ultimately decides to rip off her wig, wipe off her lipstick and join protesters. At one point, she hands an officer on the demonstration line a can of Pepsi. He drinks the soda, grins and Kendall dances in approval. See the commercial below.

The image of Kendall approaching the police line is being compared to of Black Lives Matter protester Ieshia Evans in Baton Rogue in 2016. (See the photo below).
