theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, NBA star J.R. Smith is being questioned under oath about whether he was on drugs the night he allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old, along with the alleged victim demanding confidential NBA records in the $2.5 million legal battle.
Here’s the latest: On May 1st, the plaintiff (Justin Brown) filed docs in the case demanding the NBA star answer under oath about whether he was using drugs on the night in question. Brown fired off a list of questions to J.R. during the discovery phase of the case. He wants to know what drugs, medicines or alcoholic beverages he consumed within twenty-four hours prior to the alleged assault.
He also wants to know how the drugs and alcoholic beverages were obtained, along with a detailed timeline of his activities and whereabouts on November 12th, 2015.
Further, he is seeking information regarding any and all investigations or reviews involving J.R. since 2010, including professional misconduct, ethical or other violations by the National Basketball Association. Brown is demanding J.R. answer all his interrogatories – including whether he was on drugs.
Here’s the backstory: A 19-year-old named Justin Brown sued Smith for allegedly attacking him outside a New York Pizza restaurant. He demanded over $2.5 million in damages from J.R. for the emotional distress, pain and humiliation he suffered.
