Lupita Nyong’o In Talks To Star In “Charlie’s Angels” Reboot

Oscar award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o is reportedly in early talks to topline Sony’s “Charlie’s Angels: reboot. Kristen Stewart is also being considered. Elizabeth Banks will the direct the film.

The original Charlie’s Angels was a TV series (1976-1981) which starred Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Jaclyn Smith. In 2000, a Charlie’s Angels movie hit the big screen starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu as the crime-fighting trio working at a private detective agency for the mysterious, unseen Charlie Townsend.

The reboot is slated for release June 7, 2019 release.
