Mariah Carey Had Weight Loss Surgery

Rumor has it, Mariah Carey has gone under the knife. According to reports, the 47-year-old singer had weight-loss surgery. Reportedly, last month she underwent gastric sleeve surgery, a surgical weight-loss procedure in which the stomach is reduced to about 15% of its original size, by surgical removal of a large portion of the stomach along the greater curvature. The result is a sleeve or tube like structure. The procedure permanently reduces the size of the stomach, although there could be some dilatation of the stomach later on in life. The procedure is generally performed laparoscopically and is irreversible.

The procedure is said to have been done by a top surgeon in Beverly Hills, after her weight reportedly skyrocketed. We hear that she had the surgery after being body shamed by some critics online. Reportedly, Carey began noticing that it was harder for her to dance during her live concerts. That coupled with some of the negativity she noticed online, ultimately led her to have the procedure done.

No word on how much weight Carey has lost.

Ridiculous! she wasnt even obese… That surgery is typically for people who have diet and exercised for years with no progress..

If this is true….What a joke! I never knew Mariah to “dance”…..
How vain of her to have that surgery, absent of serious health concerns. I am sure she can lose weight if she gave it an honest attempt. Janet does it every single time!

    Exactly! Stop drinking wine/champagne like its water, I know it can become difficult to drop weight after 40.. but if she stop alcohol, chef to make healthy meals, exercise for 30 minutes a day.. she would see a difference… She’s just lazy as hell..

      Tell the truth and shame the devil! I did exactly this and it worked within 8 weeks, and I only work out 3 times a week, sometimes 25 minutes, sometimes 35 minutes. By the time these people recover from their surgeries and leakage and potential infections they could’ve melted that fat off in the same amount of time doing some Brasilian Booty Shake or Afro Beat workouts -they have so many 15 cardio minute workouts out there that will have you sweating like a prostitute in church and burn that fat right off your body if you just stop eating junk and cut alcohol.
