Jay-Z Releases Statement About Meek Mill’s Sentence
Following news of Meek Mill‘s prison sentence Monday, JAY-Z has released a statement. As previously reported, on Monday, the 30-year-old rapper was sentenced to a minimum of two years in prison by Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley, who cited him for violating probation in a gun and drug case from 2008. Shortly after the news was released, JAY-Z stated:
The sentence handed down by the Judge — against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer — is unjust and heavy handed. We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.
Meek has yet to comment publicly.

He should have acted right.
Maybe you didn’t read that the District Attorney AND his probation officer was against incarceration because he had been doing right. The judge went against everyone to prove a point.
