Ayesha Curry: I’ll Never Call Myself A NBA Wife
Ayesha Curry Will Never Call Herself A NBA Wife
Ayesha Curry is a business woman in her own right. The 28-year-old budding mogul is married to NBA star Steph Curry (they share two children) and has made her own name in the culinary world.
In addition to opening her own flagship restaurant International Smoke, she also hosts the Food Network show “Ayesha’s Home Kitchen” and was a co-host on ABC’s “The Great American Baking Show.” Not to mention, she has a cookware line and is one of the faces of CoverGirl. So it’s no surprise that she juggles multiple hats and multiple titles. She says,
Obviously mom and wife first. Those are the two most important titles.
However, she doesn’t carry the title “NBA wife.”
I don’t think I’ll ever call myself that. I mean, I don’t think my husband would call himself ‘chef’s wife.’
She admits that she’s received some essential advice about being a wife, mom, while also keeping her own identity.
One thing that my mom always told me was to never lose yourself inside of your marriage. I’m happy that I’ve been able to find that so-called balance and be able to pursue my passions and take care of my family.
Sweet!

I’m sure she meant “chef’s husband”….IJS
Well he is not the NBA, he is in the NBA.
She is a chef, why might he not say that? *rolls eyes*
If you don’t want to own a particular label, then just don’t.
If she wasn’t married to Steph Curry nobody would care about her.
True
FACTS
I get it. She has more to offer than just being married to a baller. She is doing her thing and the title NBA wife is rather dumb.
If it wasn’t for the NBA you nor your husband would exist. Use your big head for thinking before you put the NBA LEAGUE DOWN, REMEMBER THEY ARE THE ONES FEEDING YOUR FAMILY!!
Though I understand where Ayesha’s coming from. However due to the NBA (& Curry’s popularity within the league) thus where her opportunities originated. It’s directly related to being an NBA wife, of a very popular player in particular. Also she welcomes the spotlight (for herself) whereas a lot of the other wives remain low key.
You couldn’t have said it better!
Guess, she still wants her 15 seconds of fame otherwise why bother she’s still a wife & mother first she claims, her statement is dumb.
Girl bye, shes been annoying ever since she was talkin all that mess about the NBA being rigger when her main aint win one year, then was quiet the year after when he won!
