Swizz Beatz: I Got A Colonoscopy
Swizz Beatz has gotten a colonoscopy, a procedure that many men fear. A colonoscopy is a procedure that enables an examiner (usually a gastroenterologist) to evaluate the inside of the colon (large intestine or large bowel). The music producer shared that having it done was inspired by his brother’s death, who apparently died to cancer. See Swizz’s message about his experience below.
Your health is your wealth I wanted to start off 2018 by keeping the promise I made to my brother the late great Jay Icepick Jackson. Before he passed ,he urged that we all spread the word about how important our health is. As men we always think we’re invincible ! If that was the case, a great Man and many other great men would still be on this earth. Today I did a Colonoscopy, which many men refuse to do until it’s too late. It only took 2days for the entire process and thank God I’m okay. I wasn’t going to share this but I promised my brother I would spread the word to prevent others from going through what he did?? Blessings to all. Your health is your wealth… F@ck Cancer …. #jayicepickjackson #icepicjayforever

He married Mrs. Keys for her money and is well taken care of. Does he really need to be this desperate? Unreal…..
Colon and prostate cancers are two major cancers men need to look out for and many don’t. This is equivalent to breast and ovarian cancer for women. Its not about attention, its about keeping people informed and educated of the importance of these things.
Clearly this is a post meant to be disparaging and negative, because he has his own money as well as a degree from Harvard. I can’t imagine how his post screams desperation. Unless he is desperately begging other men, especially black men, to take care of their bodies and get the annual preventative exams recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
