Black Women Have Limited Dating Pool Because Black Men Are In Jail
Is the dating pool for black women who want date black men limited because of the judicial system? According to Loni Love, a lot of black men are in jail, thus limiting the dating pool for black women. The conversation was ignited by Ciara’s controversial ‘Level Up’ post, in which she told fans to focus on themselves and love themselves and the right man will come along.
Loni says it’s not that easy. Stating her case on The Real, she says,
Let’s tell the truth about why … I’m saying in the african-american community, why there is a shortage pool of available men – Why? Because of over incarceration.
She adds,
If those men are getting overly arrested they can’t get a job then that pool is is short, limited … So we have to fix the root [of the] problem. The root [of the] problem is why aren’t there enough available men so that women can’t get married?

What a dumb stereotype comment.
She has a point about Black male incarceration and she did state that “Black women who want to date only Black men” have that problem, rather than Black females in general have a limited dating pool. What she should have said is that rich, Black women on television who want to date only Black men have a limited dating pool, which I imagine is true.
