Oprah Removes Russell Simmons From Her Book
Oprah Winfrey is distancing herself from Russell Simmons. She’s removed his section in her book, The Wisdom of Sundays. The move seems to be made in the wake of recent multiple accusations of sexual misconduct of now faces.
The decision was made by Winfrey and her publisher. The book is a collection of excerpts from conversations between Oprah and guests of her OWN network series Super Soul Sunday. Simmons’ conversation was included in the initial print run.
To date, 12 women have come forward, alleging sexual assault or rape. Simmons has maintained his innocence.
