Bill Cosby Reveals 44-Year-Old Daughter’s Cause of Death
Bill Cosby is addressing the tragic news surrounding his daughter’s death. This week, it was reported that his 44-year-old daughter Ensa had sadly passed on Friday. The legendary comedian’s rep states about the tragic loss,
The Cosby Family thanks many people for their prayers for their beloved and beautiful Ensa, who recently died from renal disease.
According to the Mayo Clinic, renal disease, also known as chronic kidney disease or chronic kidney failure, occurs when the kidneys begin to lose their function. Normally, the kidneys play a vital role in the body’s natural filtration system: they siphon off waste and excess fluid from the blood, which are then excreted in urine. The disease can accelerate when dangerous levels of fluid and waste build up over time.
Last year, Ensa made headlines when she released a lengthy statement defending her father amidst his rape controversy. She stated,
The public persecution of my dad, my kids’ grandfather, and the cruelty of the media and those who speak out branding my father a ‘rapist’ without ever knowing the truth and who shame our family and our friends for defending my dad, makes all of this so much worse for my family and my children. When people are so quick to cast hate and make accusations of horrific violence against my dad, they are callous in their carelessness about the harm they are causing to others.
Unfortunately, this isn’t Cosby and his wife Camille’s first child that has died. Together, they had five children, Erika, Erinn, Ensa, Evin, and Ennis. Their only son, Ennis, was murdered on January 16, 1997, while changing a flat tire on the side of Interstate 405 in Los Angeles.
No additional details have been released.
