Stacey Dash – I Have NO Beef With Compton’s Mayor!
Stacey Dash says that she has nothing but love for Compton’s Mayor Aja Brown. This week, reports surfaced that the 51-year-old actress may be running against Brown for a seat in Congress. Dash blames the media for attempting to make an issue between the two women. She tweets,
The media has tried to pain an issue between myself and Mayor Aja Brown. I have no issue with this wonderful woman and the incumbent should be watching. Glad I could help to open the race up.
Brown has yet to comment. As previously reported, in the past Brown has been endorsed from Compton and other Los Angeles natives like Kendrick Lamar, YG and Nipsey Hussle. She is a Democrat.
We’re told that she doesn’t agree with Dash’s plan to run, as she feels that she is not as connected to the communities that she would like to serve.
Dash is running for the 44th District which includes Compton (where Aja resides), Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach. Brown’s team is reportedly making a statement today (March 8th).
