Netflix Cancels “Seven Seconds” Starring Regina King
Netflix has pulled the plug on its series, Seven Seconds. The series, which starred Regina King, has reportedly been canceled. The drama premiered in February and explored race in America through a story involving the hit-and-run of an African-American teenager by a white Jersey City cop (Beau Knapp) and the crime’s subsequent cover-up by the mostly white police force.
Cindy Holland, vp originals at Netflix, said of the project
“We loved working with Veena Sud, Regina King and the cast and crew of Seven Seconds. Together they created a compelling, timely and relevant crime drama. The first season is a complete, stand-alone story that we are proud to feature on Netflix for years to come.

Just tired of art imitating life so rudely. I stopped watching after the third or fourth episode. It was hard reading the headlines and watching the same stuff happen. We need a happy ending. In real life. We are tired.
I mean what kind of tv do u watch, we need reality not no bullshit, happy ending my ass watch cartoons den, this was a great show me n my wife watched it n couldn’t stop unlike some the other bullshit on there, if u tired of reality I hope u live in a soft world with no kids.
Facts ..That show was good!!
agreed
TF world she live in.??
Talking about Happy ending, I bet the Slaves wished for the same thing.
You must like watching ratchet tv, this series was about everyday life with good casting and a great storyline
Brilliant Series, gritty and real. As usual a little too real and the discomfort based on that reality, no doubt became problematic for a certain demographic. God forbid we write and produce compelling and teachable moments at the expense of “reality t.v.”
Well….that’s America for you….cant handle the TRUTH and the reality of life….hence the cancellation of the series….smdh!
If the show is cancel, and so is my subscription. I’m tied of Netflix not having prime movies online and on time. And the, raises the price. This was a great show and probably cheaper than Bright(Sorry Will, that was some garbage, but Netflix paid right?)
Renew or I cancel my subscription.
I totally feel you on this!!!
.
Mines too
Pissed i was looking forward to next season. Makes no since
Nooooo #gottodeep good acting and storyline
I loved this series! WHY cancel it???? Everything ….all the relevant issues were covered. The cast was phenomenal. I loved this show and was looking forward to the new season. What now?
I thoroughly ENJOYED watching ‘7 Seconds’, GREAT cast and dealing with a REAL issue….Sad to see that Netflix is going to cancel this….Disappointed to say the least. Sad to see that people still can’t handle the “truth” and exist in their fairy tale world…..This is our reality…this crap is happening around us….”hiding” from it and pretending that it doesn’t exist is not going to make it go away…
