EXCLUSIVE: Plaxico Burress Hit w/ Tax Lien

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, not so good legal news for Plaxico Burress. The Commissioner of Taxation filed a lien against the former NFL star over unpaid taxes. The lien was filed on April 3rd. He reportedly owes $59,241.79.

The lien is the latest financial woe for Plaxico, with him facing foreclosure of his New Jersey mansion, which is currently ongoing. Plaxico and his wife’s New Jersey mansion was placed in foreclosure after they allegedly fell behind on the mortgage.

Plaxico is a former NFL wide receiver and is a coaching intern for the Arizona Cardinals. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers eighth overall in the 2000 NFL Draft and also played for the New York Giants and the New York Jets. He played college football at Michigan State. During his NFL career, he is said to have made $29 million.
