The feud between Azealia Banks and Cardi B heated up over the weekend. On Friday, Banks did an interview with The Breakfast Club in which they asked her why in the past she referred to Cardi as an uneducated rat.

Apparently, Cardi caught wind of Banks’ remarks and responded with a lengthy open letter. While she didn’t call Banks out by name she did state,
The difference between me and you, I’ve never pretended to be or represent someone I’m not! I’ve made it where I am for being myself and staying true to that.

Banks responded to Cardi’s post explaining why she bleached her skin, while writing,
Let us not forget that you look like a big toe with a Hammernail without all of tha countour on your face. You are a very mediocre looking light skin woman with cold sore scares on the side of your mouth.

After Banks’ post, Cardi deactivated her Instagram account and made her Twitter account private.
Cardi’s publicist, Patience Foster, later posted several messages on social media, that seemed to be in response to Banks.
