Floyd Mayweather, Jr. may be a world champion boxer who is used to celebrating win after win, but his greatest celebration just occurred this week when his son Koraun graduated high school. Floyd congratulated his son for a job well done and for him achieving something he himself didn’t do–graduate high school. Koraun, 18, graduated from West Ranch High School in Stevenson Ranch, California. He said,
I’m so proud of my son for doing something that I didn’t do, and that’s graduate high school. When I was his age I dropped out of school and followed my dream of boxing to take my family out of poverty!
Koraun also posted a message on social media, writing:
Thank you to my parents for motivating me throughout this journey.
To celebrate the momentous occasion, Floyd gifted his son a beautiful gold necklace which he wore at his graduation. No word yet as to what his plans are after having graduated, but something tells us that his proud father will be with him every step of the way cheering him on.
