EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Aries Spears Lawyer Wants To Drop Him As A Client
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, comedian Aries Spears is accused of refusing to listen to his lawyer’s advice in an ongoing legal battle, and his rep is demanding the court allow him to drop his client.
Earlier this year, the comedian sued radio host Zo Williams for assault and battery. Spears was a guest on – The Corey Holcomb 5150 Show – when the host allegedly unleashed a violent attack on him.
Spears took issue with co-host Corey Holcomb and the radio staff for not stepping in and stopping the assault. The comedian claimed the attack started after he made a joke at Zo.

He sued seeking unspecified damages. The case is ongoing.
On May 25, Spears’ attorney went to court pleading with the judge to let him drop the comedian as his client. He accuses Spears of being non-responsive to his advice and communications, saying it has rendered it unreasonably difficult to effectively represent Spears in the case.
The lawyer does not go into much detail about his working relationship with Spears, but he wants to drop his client and the case ASAP. A judge has yet to rule.
