Angelina Jolie Says Brad Pitt Hasn’t Paid Child Support Since 2016

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s long-winded court battle is heating up! Jolie and her attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean have filed new court documents noting Pitt has not paid any child support towards their six kids since their split in September 2016. Jolie is now requesting the court enforce Pitt to pay, as she plans to file a request for court order. The court document reads,

Given that the informal arrangements around the payment of the children’s expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file an RFO [request for a court order] for the establishment of a retroactive child support order. 

According to Jolie, Pitt is obligated to help her support their children. The documents also state,

[Pitt] has a statutory duty to pay child support. As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation.

Pitt’s camp has released a statement to the new court docs,

It is sad that someone would deliberately misrepresent the situation, especially after Brad has continued to fulfill his commitments.

Someone from Jolie’s camp has given context to the Girl Interrupted actresses recent court motions,

The aim of Angelina’s routine court filing is to provide closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path toward the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted coparents to their children. 

Jolie has also sought sole custody of their six children, but in June both parties were granted a temporary summer custody agreement. The court also ordered her to explain to the children the, “court has determined not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them.” They are “safe with their father,” and having a healthy relationship with both parents is “critical.”

The six children are expected to be spending their time between Los Angeles and London. The previous pair were together for a total of 12 years. After being married for two years, Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. Their six children consist of Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10.nJolie is seeking all the money she claims she is owed.
