Ariana Grande Responds to Ex Mac Miller’s Death
Ariana Grande has taken to social media in response to the passing of her ex boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller (real name(real name Malcolm James McCormick). Over the weekend, she posted a photo of Mac with no caption.
She turned off the comments on Instagram, shortly after news broke of his death. It’s widely speculated that some of his fans were leaving negative comments on her page, in response to his passing.
Mac and Ariana began dating in 2016. They ended their relationship earlier in May. A few weeks after they confirmed their split publicly, he was arrested for a DUI and hit and run.

As previously reported, the 26-year-old rapper died of an apparent drug overdose. In 2010, the Pittsburgh rapper signed to Rostrum Records, instantly gaining popularity with his first studio album, Blue Slide Park, which debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. In 2011, he released the single “Donald Trump” off his fifth mixtape, Best Day Ever, which solidified his place in pop culture.
On Friday around noon, a 911 call was placed from Miller’s San Fernando Valley home. The rapper was found dead on the scene. As of recently, Mac Miller has admitted to struggling with substance abuse. On his 2014 mixtape, “Faces,” he chronicled drug abuse. The night before his death, Mac Miller posted a series of videos in his Instagram stories playing his song “So it Goes,” which includes lyrics,
“Nine lives, never, die, f*** a heaven, I’m still gettin’ high.”
Mac Miller was scheduled to embark on his The Swimming Tour on October 27th.
Our condolences to Mac Miller’s friends, family, and fans.
