Sheryl Underwood Gets Emotional As Julie Chen Departs From ‘The Talk’
After a week-long break from “The Talk”, Julie Chen officially announced her departure from the show this week. This comes just days after her husband, Les Moonves, was ousted as chairman-CEO of CBS following information that was released regarding his role in allegedly attempting to blackball and sabotage Janet Jackson’s career following the Super Bowl incident with Justin Timberlake.
Chen returned to “The Talk” to announce her official departure, saying,
“I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son, so I’ve decided to leave ‘The Talk.’”
Of her co-hosts, Sheryl Underwood was especially emotional about the news.
Underwood, who shed tears for her co-hosts’ departure, took to Twitter to retweet words of support.
