Stranger Things Actress Millie Bobby Brown Defends Friendship w/ Drake
Social media is accusing rapper Drake of child’s play, and they’re not referring to the hit single from his album, Views. A recent interview with Millie Bobby Brown, the 14-year-old actress from Netflix’s Stranger Things is raising eyebrows. The young actress has revealed that since she’s appeared in his “Nice for What” video, she and the 31-year-old have become fast friends. She told Access Hollywood:
“He texted me the other day and was like, ‘I miss you so much’, and I was like, ‘I miss you more!'”
Many expressed on social media that this text interaction was too intimate for a 31-year-old man and teenaged girl – especially in the wake of the recent R. Kelly scandals. Millie took to Instagram to debunk those rumors, and express her frustration over them. She posted this note to her Instagram story:
“Why u gotta make a lovely friendship ur headline? U guys are weird… For real. im lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance. Im very blessed to have amazing people in my life. u dont get to choose that for me. its nice to have people understand what i do. Now get back to talking about real problems in this world other than my friendships… jeez”
She continued by thanking her followers for being understanding. She said:
“to all the supporters: i love you guys. thank you for supporting me. many thanks to u guys. sending my love to wherever u are in the world”

More than likely Drake has taken on a mentor role to Millie Bobby Brown, considering he was a child actor in the hit show, Degrassi. Do you believe their interactions are inappropriate?
