Tamar Braxton’s Mom Responds To Daughter Being Molested
Evelyn and Towanda Braxton Support Tamar’s New Molestation Claims
The Braxton family is speaking out after Tamar revealed she was molested during a taping of the Wendy Williams show.
Apparently, when Tamar revealed on national television she was molested by family members on both sides of her family, the news came as a shock to her immediate family, too. Tamar’s mother, Evelyn Braxton, and sister, Towanda Braxton spoke in support of the R&B singer’s newest details.
Evelyn stated,
I’m prepared to stand by Tamar’s side – no matter what. Sometimes you‘re concerned about others that’s outside of the family, and because of that, and it happened within the family, that’s devastating. So that means you have to watch outside of the family, what goes on inside of the family.
Empathizing with the abuser, she added,
And can imagine the [devastation] of the person who’ve been dealing with this over these years.
She concluded,
If she [Tamar] feels like she wants to tell her story, I don’t care who it is, I’m going stand by her 100%. Whether other people understand it or not, that’s my child. Her pain is my pain, how about that.
Towanda, Tamar’s sister, affirmed her sister has a right to speak up for herself,
Everybody has a right to speak her truth. It takes a lot of strength to speak your truth sometimes, regardless of who you hurt. You have to speak your truth. We are always going to support each other.

This touching information comes days before the Braxton Family Values season finale premiere with Iyanla Vanzant.
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusivly reported the Braxton family had tapped Vanzant to assist in the amending of their broken relationship(s). The episode where Vanzant is rumored to have made things progressively worse is set to premiere on We TV Thursday (September 27th).
