Lena Waithe’s Unscripted Sneakerhead Show Set to Debut on Quibi
Producer/screenwriter Lena Waithe is a busy girl! Among several other projects, the “Master of None” star’s new show, “You Ain’t Got These,” is set to debut on Jeffrey Katzenberg‘s Quibi network. The show, which surrounds sneakerhead culture, is described by The Hollywood Reporter as:
“Waithe’s exploration of today’s fashion-forward sneaker culture….The series will highlight the subtext of race, politics, class, gender, creativity, commerce, addiction and self-expression that goes into every pair.”
There is no one better than Lena to produce a show of this kind, considering she is a self-proclaimed sneakerhead. She owns over 100 pairs of shoes, and even starred in Nike’s “Shoe Therapy” commercial.
