Jada Pinkett-Smith Shares How She And Will Became Life Partners
Ahead of the second season premiere of her web talk show series “Red Table Talk,” Jada Pinkett Smith is explaining how she’s stuck by her husband’s side after almost 20 years of marriage. In a preview of the impending season, Will was in tears as the pair discussed how they overcame their marriage conflicts in the company of their daughter, Willow, and Jada’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones.

In a statement, Jada has offered some insight in how the pair had to redefine what marriage meant to them.
I needed a different form to dissolve all the expectations that I had of a marriage. I needed to do that to see Will outside of husband and see him as a human being. We have all these expectations, ‘Oh, this is what a husband is. This is what a wife is.’ I started dissolving all the ideas and expectations and labels.
