Mariah Carey Will Make an Appearance on “The Voice”
MiMi is returning to the silver screen! Iconic singer Mariah Carey is returning to a familiar role she’s had previous success in – performance advisement. Mariah was a judge on season 12 of “American Idol,” and she recently announced an upcoming appearance on the singing competition – “The Voice.” As an adviser to the contestants, Mariah will help each vocalist with their song choices for the night, and give suggestions on the performance – such as pitch, personality, and movements. The “With You” singer posted this caption on Instagram:
“@mariahcarey It’s a MOMENT. I’m advising for the @NBCTheVoice Knockouts starting Monday 8/7c!”
However, Mariah Carey’s return to a singing competition is surprising, considering she called her time on “American Idol:”
“…the worst experience of my life.”
She continued, commenting on how the alleged feud with rapper Nicki Minaj, made it a bad experience. She said:
“I’m not going to get into what it was, but let’s just say I don’t think they had any intentions for us to have a good experience doing that show. Pitting two females against each other wasn’t cool.”
She added:
“It should have been about the contestants instead of about some nonexistent feud that turned into even more ridiculousness. I would never want to be involved with it again.”
Will you be watching Mariah Carey’s appearance on “The Voice?”
