Kanye West Donates $500,000 To California Wildfire Victims
Kanye West has donated at least half a million dollars to different organizations and one family, seeking to aid victims of California wildfires. According to the rapper’s wife Kim Kardashian-West, Kanye earned the money after reaching out to Adidas and his Yeezy brand, which helped him raise the $500,000.
Kim will be giving two $200,000 checks to the California Fire Foundation and California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund on the “Ellen Show,” while also presenting a $100,000 check to a firefighter named Michael Williams. Williams and his wife lost their home due to the wildfires, but continued to battle fires and attempted to save other citizen’s homes.
