Iggy Azalea’s New $2.7 Million Distributor Deal Allows Her To Own Her Masters, Remain 100% Independent & Sign Artists

Details About Iggy Azalea’s New $2.7 Million Distributor Deal Revealed

Iggy Azalea has had quite the year; after releasing new music following a four year hiatus, the rapper was forced to cancel her tour after pulling in poor ticket sales, whilst closing the chapter with her former label, Island records. With 2019 just a few weeks away, Azalea is ready to set her eyes on new ventures. In the midst of her drama with Bhad Bhabie, the Australian rapper hinted at inking a $2.7 million deal/partnership.

She tweeted her excitement about her new distributor on Tuesday (11/20),

So today’s the day! I’m officially announcing my new label will be distributed via EMPIRE. So satisfying to be able to keep everything about this new chapter 100% indie. Bring on 2019!!!

The organization welcomed the rapper via Instagram,

Welcome to the EMPIRE family, Iggy @thenewclassic

Azalea added,

I’m so excited to begin a new entrepreneurial chapter in my career with EMPIRE as my partner. The ability to have control of my own artistic future is a long awaited and monumental change in my life. I genuinely feel I am in the best position to achieve my creative ambitions.

A part of her new multi-year deal, Azalea will be able to sign other artists, own her masters, and remain 100% independent. Fans can expect a release of new music from the artist by early 2019.

this is all on ME now to have a clean roll out and great music. It’s up to me to change the misfires and delays you’ve all become used to when it comes to me now that iam in charge of these decisions. We are having a smooth roll out in 2019. No mess.
