“Ready to Love’s” Alexx Blanks Battling Brain Flu

Alexx Blanks of the OWN Network’s dating competition, “Ready to Love,” is extremely ill. Fellow contestant, Tiffany Kirk, revealed that her cast mate was struck with flu of the brain, and battling to get well in the hospital. In a now-deleted Instagram post, she shared a graphic photo of Alexx hooked to throat and nose tubes. She captioned:

“Please pray for Alexx Blanks, from Ready to Love, and provide a donation if you can go gofundme. He has been fighting a brain flu and needs all the support he can get #readytolove #chocolaticity”

Tiffany later revealed that GoFundMe donations are being collected for her love interest to cover his medical costs due to lack of insurance. Her comment reads:

“I want to encourage everyone to be your own advocate when it comes to your health. He was sent home 3 times and they knew he wasn’t getting better. And if you don’t have health insurance, get it. So many people are turned away because of this so it is extremely important that you are covered.”

Soon after deleting the post, Tiffany Kirk dished that she wanted Alexx Blanks to be shown in a more positive light, with a healthy photo of him. She said:

Just last week, Alexx posted about his battle with the flu. He alerted his customers and viewers with this “out sick” message:
