Black Ink Chicago Producer: “I wish they would stop fighting!”
VH1’s “Black Ink Crew” isn’t a massive success for no reason. They bring the drama – break-ups, make-ups, sex, jail time, and tattoos! But with managing a rowdy, dramatic cast of reality stars comes a headache for the the staff behind the scenes! Before the fifth season even started, “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” cast member Don Brumfield attempted to attack the show’s executive producer, Rasheed J. Daniel, during the franchise’s Christmas special – resulting in Don punching several holes in the New York’s Black Ink 125th Street location.
Thankfully, the production crew lives to tell the tales of their work with the cast. “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” producer, Kim Osorio, opened up to her Instagram followers about the pains of working with the cast. She posted the trailer to the upcoming season of the show with the following caption:
“@kimosorio1 I’ve been in Chicago for four months now, and it has not been easy. But while being behind the scenes, my own reality has been un-produceable. I wish I could throw cards on the board of my own life. That’s another story. This was the first show I did where the cards just wouldn’t stick. They keep moving. You can’t card out your life…and I still struggle to card out this show. Because this cast and their real lives are something like I’ve never worked with before. All the while, I just wanted them to stop figh… well, you know. I can’t even say what I want to say about this show…or about my own life. Let the cards fall where they may…. We premiere tonight on vh1 @ 9/8c. #blackinkchicago”

She is the former editor-in-chief of The Source Magazine, and also worked as the editor-at-large of BET’s interactive team. Kim even appeared as a main character on the VH1 reality show, “The Gossip Game.” The show co-starred Breakfast Club host Angela Yee, then-Hot 97 personality K. Foxx, and writer Jas Fly.
Season five of “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” premiered January 2, 2019 at 9/8PM CT.
