R.Kelly’s Jailed Brother Criminal Record Includes: Burglary, Drug Possession, Criminal Trespassing
One of the more memorable participants of Lifetime’s “Surviving R.Kelly” documentary, is the singer’s older brother, Bruce Kelly. Throughout the series, Bruce shares intimate details about R.Kelly’s upbringing and also gives alleged insight about why his brother prefers underaged girls. At one point in the documentary he explains,
“You have people who have fantasies about different things. I like older women, go figure, you know. But that’s just a preference. Everyone has preferences. So what is the big deal? What is the big issue with my brother?”
In the docu, Bruce wears a jumpsuit and appears to be in jail. According to reports, he’s currently serving time in the Vandalia Correctional Center and is expected to be released in 2019. His incarceration is reportedly from a 2016 burglary.
Despite being in jail, he’s posted photos with his baby brother, R.Kelly, on social media. In April 2018, two posts were made. One appears to be an older photo; based off the caption it was taken with him and R.Kelly in Miami.
According to court documents circulating about Bruce, his latest legal trouble isn’t his first.
Allegedly, he’s also been jailed in the past for drug possession, burglary, criminal trespassing, driving without a license, etc.
“Surviving R.Kelly” airs on Lifetime.
