Issa Rae Co-Starring In Romantic Comedy W/ Kumail Nanjiani
Issa Rae will star in a new romantic comedy alongside Kumail Nanjiani in a film called “The Lovebirds.” Both of the lead character will serve as a executive producers for the Paramount film.
The story of the film centers around a couple on the verge of breaking up, but have been linked to a murder mystery, and have to work together to not only clear their name, but also determine if their relationship is worth salvaging.

The film is set to begin production late January. Rae, who is cited as the co-creator of HBO’s “Insecure,” recently inked a multi-picture deal with Columbia Pictures. Nanjiani is known for his role in the 2017 hit “The Big Sick.”
