Jussie Smollett – Chemical Substance Poured On Him During Vicious Attack, Perpetrators Were MAGA Supporters
New details have surfaced surrounding the attack of Jussie Smollett. The Chicago police department has released a statement, detailing what happened to the Empire star. They state that two people attacked, pouring a chemical substance on the 36-year-old actor. They also state that the shouted racial and homophobic slurs at him and tied a noose around his neck at one point.
Reportedly, the men who Jussie screamed “This is MAGA country” during the incident. Both men fled the scene.
Fox issued the following statement
“We are deeply saddened and outraged to learn that a member of our EMPIRE family, Jussie Smollett, was viciously attacked last night. We send our love to Jussie, who is resilient and strong, and we will work with law enforcement to bring these perpetrators to justice. The entire studio, network and production stands united in the face of any despicable act of violence and hate — and especially against one of our own.”
Other celebrities have shared their outrage about the incident and kind words to Jussie.
