Dame Dash To Turn Himself In Following Outstanding Child Support Warrants, Reportedly Owes Nearly $400k
You can only avoid paying child support for so long before things get really serious, just ask Dame Dash. The music mogul has apparently decided to step up to the plate regarding an outstanding warrant for child support—even though he says he’s innocent.
Although Dame Dash is reportedly voluntarily turning himself over to New York City authorities due to multiple outstanding child support warrants, he wants to make it clear that he has proof to clear his name and his exes are lying about the amount he owes.
Dash said that after almost three years after a family court judge signed a warrant for his arrest, he will finally turn himself in. Dash reportedly owes a combined total of nearly $400K in child support to Cindy Morales, who is the mother of his son, Lucky—and also to his ex-wife, fashion designer Rachel Roy, with whom he shares daughters Ava and Tallulah.
Dash claims that the warrants are baseless because he says he’s paid both Morales and Roy more than enough money in child support. He also claims that he gave Morales $150,000 to buy a home. As for Roy, he says she gets her child support payments from his share of her clothing line the Rachel Roy Collection, which they both own.
Dash finally decided to surrender to authorities after all this time because the outstanding warrants prevent him from traveling back to NYC, causing him to miss important events.
Meanwhile, reports are circulating that Roy wants Dash to relinquish his majority ownership of their company, the Rachel Roy Collection.
What do think of Dame Dash turning himself in? Do you think he’ll serve any jail time? Let us know in the comments.
