Dame Dash Say That Aaliyah Speaks To Him & Girlfriend 

The latest season of the WE TV reality series Growing Up Hip Hop is currently underway, and on the most recent episode, Dame Dash, who’s son Boogie is a cast member, and his girlfriend revealed that late R&B star Aaliyah plays a major part in their relationship.

Former music mogul Dame Dash was in a relationship with R&B legend Aaliyah at the time of her untimely passing in 2001. In the years since, he has continuously expressed how much she meant to him. While appearing on Growing Up Hip Hop with current girlfriend Raquel Horn, the couple revealed that Aaliyah speaks to them and helps their relationship with her guidance and words of wisdom, especially for Horn.

Of the Aaliyah connection in his relationship with Horn, Dash said:

“It’s funny, I’ll be talking to her [Raquel] and her [Aaliyah’s] record will come on and it would always be like validation. Lightning will go off or a butterfly will come. And I noticed when she’s trying to figure me out, she talks to Aaliyah.”

Horn continued, adding that she regularly speaks to Aaliyah for ways to strengthen her relationship with Dash:

“I ask Aaliyah for advice and she usually answers. The death of Aaliyah was really hard on Damon. I feel like she guides me a lot and tells me how to react and tells me how to um, be the best lover. Uh, she is, definitely a daily part of our lives…together.”

The response on social media to the couple’s confession was mixed to say the least:
