Ayesha Curry Opens Up About Groupies “Lurking Around” Steph Curry & Her Battle W/ Anxiety: I Actually Take Medication For It
Ayesha Curry and her husband, NBA superstar Steph Curry, are #CoupleGoals for many, but Ayesha is revealing that even with such a strong marriage she still has to deal with the thirsty groupies “lurking around” her hubby, hoping for their shot at him.
Ahead of her appearance on Red Table Talk, clips are being released of the upcoming episode where she gets candid about being married to an NBA superstar and how she deals with women hoping for an opportunity to test him. She allows reveals her ongoing struggles with anxiety and taking medication to ease the symptoms.
Discussing how she deals with the constant attention that Steph receives from female fans, Ayesha said:
“Stephen is very nice by nature and he’s very talkative. Everything is always very friendly and sometimes to the point where I’m like, I’m a grown woman so I’ll just insert myself.
I’ll be like, ‘Hello. How are you doing?’ I’m OK with it now and obviously, you know, the devil is a liar. The ladies will always be lurking, hoping for their moment and waiting. But for me, I honestly hate it.”
While voicing her anxiety issues with Pinkett Smith’s daughter Willow, Curry admitted:
“I have anxiety too, really bad, to the point where I actually take medication for it. And I think it’s something that everybody, in some way, has moments. I think open communication and putting your feelings out on the line, that helps me a lot, [and] just letting someone know, ‘I’m kind of having an anxiety attack right now.’”
The forthcoming Red Table Talk episode also features Steph Curry’s mother, Sonya Curry, his sister Sydel Curry-Lee and future sister-in-law, Callie Rivers.
