Nicki Minaj Is Livid About Fans Coming For Her Boyfriend ‘How F***ing Dare You Talk About Lowering Standards?’

Nicki Minaj went from having a life better than Armani to going off on critics of her relationship with Kenneth Petty.

Thursday she posted a snapshot of her and Petty and said,

“I remember when I cried like “why me?” Now I wouldn’t Exchange my life for Armani”

But Friday she took to her Queen Radio show to blast anyone who has something bad to say about her boyfriend.

“When a person is with a n—a that loved them before they had a dime in their pocket? How do you not understand that? How do you not understand happiness vs clout?” The performer sounds off, “How f–king dare you talk about lowering standards.”

She added that she wants,

“you hoes to wake up. It’s the truth, money cannot buy me happiness and good sex.”

But it wasn’t Petty’s non-celebrity status that had fans coming for him, despite her past connections to popular rappers like Meek Mill and Nas

Instead, it was his criminal history that raised eyebrows and got Petty the side eye after he and Nicki went public with their relationship last fall. Petty was convicted of rape in 1995 and is registered as a Level 2 sex offender in New York. He spent anywhere between 18 and 54 months in jail. But Nicki, who has known Petty since they were teenagers, and dated him back in the day, defended his honor against critics back then too.

She responded to a fan who sided with Nicki and said,

“He was 15, she was 16….in a relationship. But go awf, Internet. y’all can’t run my life. Y’all can’t even run y’all own life.”

She also added on Twitter,

“No one on social media has ever sinned. They are all perfect. They piss champagne & walk on streets of gold. Everyone on social media is now a psychic. They not only tell the future, but the past too. They are your judge, jury & executioner. I never meet these perfect ppl in real life tho. They exist only on social media.”

Despite the hate, it doesn’t look like Petty is going anywhere. On a previous episode of Queen Radio, Nicki referred to him as her husband in March.

“Every night when I get out of the shower, my husband takes this really good lotion that we just bought and he massages my feet and rubs them. He rubs each toe individually, and the heel and the ball of my foot—he does it all.”

While it doesn’t look like they’ve tied the knot just yet, she revealed last month that they got their marriage license.

“We did get our marriage license…And no you guys are not invited to the wedding. I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything.”

She also hinted at having a child with him.

“We are about to have a baby child! I’m not saying I’m pregnant, but obviously, that’s the end goal, right?”

Hear it at the 1:36 mark.

Even though she’s not sporting a baby bump just yet, she did make it clear she and Petty are still on that path in her feature on Chance The Rapper’s “Zanies and Fools” that was released Friday. Nicki rapped,

“He the Clyde to my Bonnie, ’bout to walk down the aisle and be a mommy,”
