Bobby Shmurda’s Mom Says He Has 15 More Months In Jail
Rapper Bobby Shmurda, 25, was visited by his mother who gave a quick update on the remainder of the Miami rapper’s sentence. He is currently completing nearly 2 years on weapons and conspiracy charges. His mother wrote on social media:
“My child is in such good spirits he is ready for these streets. We have 15 months and counting this is the 5th Birthday that I have spent on the visiting floor and thank God we only have 1 more to go.”

She adds how much Bobby appreciates all the support he has received from fans.
“He sends his LOVE and expresses his APPRECIATION for all of the SUPPORT he has received thus far. The wait is almost over!!!”
Bobby also shared a photo with his mother and aunt Dawn’s visit on Instagram. He writes:
“THANK U FOR ALL SHMONEY LUV ALL THE
C-DAY S/O TY MOMMA SHMURDA U NEVER 2 FAR A NIGGA SEEING 25 IS A MAJOR DEAL I JUST WANNA 8E HOME TO GIVE U THAT 15 MONTHS AND COUNTING DOWN THE FAM PULLED UP ON THE KID.”

During her last visit in January, his mother gave an update on her son, referring to him as Chewy.
“Great visit with my stinky…..the count down continues 22 months to go. Chewy is in great spirits he sends his Love and he can not wait to be back to work.”

Shmurda was sentenced to serve a five year sentence. He plead guilty to 4th-degree conspiracy — which carries a sentence of 1-3 years; in addition to being charged with 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession, which carries a sentence of 7 years. Shmurda had both sentences run concurrently.
