Zoe Kravitz to Play Catwoman in ‘The Batman’
Zoe Kravitz has been tapped to play Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film “The Batman.” The 30-year-old actress, who is cast on “Big Little Lies”, will star opposite Robert Pattinson as Batman.
In the past, the Catwoman character has been played by Anne Hathaway in 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises”; Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992’s “Batman Returns” and Halle Berry played the role in 2004, in her own feature film.
The film is set to hit theaters and 2021 and no official start date has been released.
Zoë Kravitz is the daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet.
Kravitz made her acting debut in the 2007 film No Reservations. Her breakthrough role came as Angel Salvadore in the 2011 superhero film X-Men: First Class, which was followed by roles in The Divergent Series and Mad Max: Fury Road. Since then, Kravitz has had supporting roles in such films as The Lego Batman Movie and the Harry Potter spin-off film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a role she reprised in its sequel, as well as starring roles in independent films, like Dope and Adam Green’s Aladdin. Since 2017, Kravitz has co-starred in the HBO ensemble drama series Big Little Lies.
