DMX Prays With 4-Year-Old Son, Amidst Reports Of Rehab Stint [VIDEO]
Grammy nominated rapper DMX (real name Earl Simmons), 48, took to Instagram over the weekend (Oct. 27th), posting an update following his voluntary rehabilitation check-in. In the video, the rapper was seen holding hands with his 4-year-old son Exodus Simmons, who led the cutest prayer. In honor of his youngest child of 15, he adds a few “X” emojis while keeping his caption simple with,
”Amen!”
As previously reported, DMX recently announced his stay in rehab two weeks ago (Oct. 13th). Taking his social media he revealed how he is committed to staying sober for his family.
“In his ongoing commitment to putting family and sobriety first, DMX has checked himself into a rehab facility. He apologizes for his cancelled shows and thanks his fans for their continued support.”
The legendary Ruff Rider rapper has had his fair share of drug addiction issues prior to his most recent stay. Reportedly, one of his children has experienced health issues, which may have allegedly triggered him to enter rehab.
DMX has spoken openly about his addiction to crack cocaine, which began when he was 14 years old after he smoked a marijuana cigarette laced with the drug. In addition to drug abuse, he’s also allegedly battled with bipolar disorder. Back in 2016, DMX opened up on the symptoms of his condition which he struggles with.
“I used to be really clear on who was what and what characteristics each personality had,” he said. “But I don’t know at this point. I’m not even sure there is a difference. I’m Earl when I’m with my children. I miss my children, I miss my children, I miss my children.”
Since his rehab announcement, DMX has been showered with support from his peers including Russell Simmons, JR Smith, and Omari Hardwick.

Get well soon DMX!
