[Condolences] NBA Star John Wall’s mother, Frances Pulley, Reportedly Dies of Cancer At The Age of 58
Our thoughts and prayers are with Washington Wizards’ star guard, John Wall as his mother Frances Pulley reportedly passed away on Friday (Dec. 13th), after a battle with cancer. She was 58. John Wall took to social media on Friday sharing one of his special moments of embracing his mother on the sidelines during an NBA home game.

Wall was often reduced to tears when speaking publicly about his relationship and work ethic of his mother.
In his acceptance speech into the University of Kentucky basketball Hall of Fame In 2017, he spoke about how his mother told him he could either continue down a path to ruin or use his abilities to “change his family’s life.”

During an pre-game interview in February, Wall first spoke publicly about his mother’s cancer diagnosis. He said, ,
“My spirits are great, man. Just spending time with my son, spending time with my mom that’s battling cancer. God don’t make no mistakes. I can’t wonder why He did this, probably it’s a good time to spend with my mom while she’s battling this cancer and be there for her, and also be there for my son.”
The Wizards released a statement, sending their condolences.
“Sending thoughts and love for John Wall and his family after the passing of his mother, Frances Pulley. She will forever be a part of our #DCFamily.”

In addition, Wall’s former Kentucky head coach John Calipari, who had an very important role into changing Wall’s life around, took to Twitter to give his condolences to the Wall family.

Wall helped celebrate his mother’s last birthday in late June of this year, calling his mother his hero and best friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wall Family.
