NBA YoungBoy — Kidnapping & Assault Charges Against Rapper Dropped, Won’t Have To Go To Jail

New developments on charges against NBA YoungBoy have come into play.

Kidnapping and assault charges against the rapper have officially been dropped thanks to a plea deal he entered, TMZ reported Thursday (Dec. 19).

As for what NBA YoungBoy had to agree on in return, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charges of misdemeanor simple battery family violence, based on documents from Georgia’s Ware County District Attorney’s Office.

He won’t have to go to jail, but he will be on probation for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and has to go to anger management classes. He’s also not allowed to have any violent contact with the alleged victim, his now ex-girlfriend Jania.

The legal drama stems from an incident from 2018 that was caught on surveillance.

NBA YoungBoy allegedly threw Jania to the floor in the hallway of a hotel in Georgia and allegedly refused to let her leave.

While she claimed via social media that they were just joking around, he was later charged for aggravated assault and kidnapping.

A major turning point in the case came when Jania refused to take the stand and testify against him.

Meanwhile, he was just released from jail in August amid accusations he violated his probation from a shooting (from three years ago) where he and his team were allegedly the targets. According to the judge, the violation consisted of NBA YoungBoy

“talking trash and smack on social media.”

He was freed from probation earlier this month.

Still, the drama between him and Jania have become a topic of conversation again as he released a song claiming she gave him herpes.

He rapped,

“That ain’t the truth when I hear what you saying/I got herpes and I gave it to Ni/To tell the truth that chick gave it to me.”

She seemed to deny the claims on Twitter.

There’s speculation that they have a child together, but the rapper has yet to confirm.
