NBA Youngboy Released From Prison

NBA Youngboy is out of prison.

The rapper, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was held at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison in Louisiana after a shooting at Rolling Loud Miami festival in May. He and his team were outside of the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach when a gunman approached them in a black Cadillac Escalade and started shooting. Reps for NBA Youngboy said they’re convinced he was the target and that they acted in self-defense when they began shooting back. Unfortunately, his girlfriend, Kay Marie, was injured and rushed to the hospital, and a 43-year-old man who was nearby was struck and killed when a bullet hit his car that was across the street.

While he’s out of jail, he’s now on house arrest for 14 months and has to wear a GPS ankle monitor. He also won’t be able to perform. He has a probation hearing set for Aug. 30.

Back in 2016, he was placed on probation for three years for his connection to a drive-by shooting.
