Don Lemon & John Kasich Get Into Heated Exchange Over Donald Trump’s Coronavirus Speech [WATCH]

If there’s anyone who isn’t here for Donald Trump’s speech concerning the widespread coronavirus, it’s CNN journalist Don Lemon. Donald Trump addressed the nation Wednesday night (March 11), to speak on the pandemic

Following the speech, Donald Trump’s administration issued several clarifications, including one on his 30-day travel ban from Europe.

In light of that, Don Lemon got into quite the conversation with former governor of Ohio, John Kasich while discussing it all.

Don Lemon said,

“If the president came out to calm people’s fears, he didn’t do a good job because they had to come back and clarify it several times. This has been going on long enough for them to get it straight. We need straight, accurate information from this president and this administration and we’re not getting it.”

He continued,

“I don’t understand why you are tip-toeing around it. He came out, gave an address… that happens very rarely, and he doesn’t get it right?”

John Kasich then defended Donald Trump and said,

“First of all, he read it, and somebody that wrote this… I don’t want to get into that.”

Don Lemon fired back with,

“Why not? That’s why you’re here! To talk about the president’s address!”

John Kasich asked,

“Can I finish now? Let me talk!”

And Don Lemon refused.

“Even if someone else wrote it, it should be right!”

John Kasich continued his defense and said,

“He put this thing out because there was some confusion out there, okay?”

But Lemon noted,

“Now there’s more confusion, John!”

While Kasich said the address was “fine”, Lemon wasn’t buying it. Kasich said Trump “set a serious” tone, but Lemon said,

“I could be serious and sit here and tell you 4+4=85.”
