Alex Trebek Releasing His 1st Memoir Amid Battle With Stage IV Cancer
In a time where the future is uncertain, longtime Jeopardy! host, Alex Trebek, has used his time to write an autobiography, The Answer Is…: Reflections On My Life, amid his continued fight with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer.
This will be the first memoir for the 79-year-old host, as Alex Trebek previously hesitated on writing a tell-all book for the past 30 years. It wasn’t until Alex Trebek received an abundance of outpouring support through posts and letters, after revealing his cancer diagnosis, via Twitter, did he feel compelled to share his story with the world.
“I want people to know a little more about the person they have been cheering on for the past year,” Trebek writes, according to Simon and Schuste.
We previously reported Trebek initial Stage IV Cancer diagnosis in 2019 (March 6). The legendary host revealed the heart-breaking news in a video in which he assured his fans that he plans to “FIGHT,” the disease. Trebek would later admit regret with being so open about his cancer battle as he found it hard to lift the spirits of those in despair.
Set to be release just before the 8-time Emmy Award Winner turns 80, Answer Is…: Reflections On my Life, provides readers with more Trebek than they expected.

According to Simon & Schuste, Trebek’s memoir contains his thoughts on a variety of topics, including marriage, parenthood, education, success, spirituality, and philanthropy. In true Jeopardy! form, each title in Trebek’s autobiography begins in the form of a question.
The book is also said to have answered the most sought after questions by fans, such has the reason behind Trebek shaving is well-known mustache, his thoughts on Will Ferrell’s Saturday Night Live impersonating him, and his knowledge of contestants Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer. Visuals will also be available for readers as dozens of never-before-seen photos of Trebek over the years are to be featured in his memoir.
We will continue to pray for Alex Trebek and his family during his battle with cancer!
