Madonna Clarifies Testing Positive For COVID-19 Antibodies: I HAD The Virus, I’m Not Currently Sick + Donates $1.1 Million To Coronavirus Research

Madonna is clearing the air after she revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies earlier this month.
In a post where she announced her contribution to COVID-19 research, she’s setting the record straight after speculation swirled that she had the virus. She wrote,

“Im Grateful that I can be a part of supporting Research to Find the cure for Covid -19!! And just to clear things up for people who would rather believe sensationalist headlines than do their own research about the nature of this virus— I am not currently sick. When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I. clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show but at the time. We all thought we had a very bad flu. Thank God we are all healthy and well now. Hope that clears things up for the band wagon jumpers!! Knowledge is Power! #covid19

Madonna previously posted on her Instagram that she’d tested positive for coronavirus antibodies in which the test was to discover if an individual had been infected in the past:

“Took a test the other day, and I found out that I have the antibodies. So tomorrow I’m just going to go for a long drive in the car and I’m going to roll down the window and I’m going to breathe in the COVID-19 air. Yup. I hope the sun is shining.”

She sparked even more controversy after she was spotted at a birthday party without a protective mask shortly after her video. It was later clarified that it was a virtual party and Madonna was actually at home with her family.
