Bryshere Gray Sued By Landlord For $26K In Damages, Manager Blames ADHD Diagnosis
Empire star Bryshere “Yazz” Gray is facing more legal trouble, and being sued by his landlord for damages allegedly done by him and his dog to his Chicago condo. His manager Charlie Mac says the damage is a result of his ADHD diagnosis a few years ago:
“unfortunately this [is] a result of that. He’s a great person and it will be taken care of. It will be handled.”
According to new legal docs, Bryshere Gray’s landlord’s Vinod Venugopal and Payal Shah say that Bryshere Gray moved into the condo in August 2019, and his dog was left unattended inside the unit and common areas for extended periods of time. They even alleged the dog urinated and defecated in several places, damaging the hardwood floors, stairs, and other parts of the property.
The landlords add that Bryshere Gray allegedly entered through the windows, and stopped up the toilets with condoms:
“Gray jumps in and out of windows, clogged the toilets by flushing down condoms, smoked weed in the place when smoking’s not allowed under the lease, and engaged in unsanitary activity including, but not limited to, eating breakfast in one of the bathrooms.”
“There is money inside of his security deposit that should rectify whatever issues the landlord has. [It’s] sad that the landlord has chosen this way to handle this but we will do what is needed to make sure it is taken care of.”

“So what happened with the clerk is, I guess he spit on the floor… The guy did, that I came to the 7-Eleven with. And she snapped on him. She was like ‘I’m not cleaning that up.’ So I cleaned it up. And I asked her, ‘So if I didn’t clean this up, you would have to clean this up.’ And she said ‘No’ and started snapping at me. So she threw something at me… I’m not sure what she threw at me. It’s on camera. She threw something at me first, I threw something at her, and I said ‘You know what? Okay. I’m out of here.’”
