Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports Officially Welcomes Lonzo, LaMelo & LiAngelo Ball To Roster

Jay-Z and his Roc Nation Sports agency have officially signed the Ball brothers on Monday (June 15th). The Brothers, Lonzo, LaMelo, and LiAngelo Ball, were previously represented by their father LaVar Ball’s Big Baller Brand. They were reportedly in talks of joining the Roc Nation family back in April. Fast forward to mid-June, the sports agency confirmed they’re now on the roster, calling the three brothers,

“A new era.”

It added,

The game has been changed. Welcome to the Roc Nation Sports family.”

LaMelo Ball is widely expected to be a top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, while Lonzo Ball is in his first season with the New Orleans Pelicans. LiAngelo Ball currently plays for the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League. As reported back in April, LaMelo Ball’s manager, Jermaine Jackson said in April the three had previously spoken with multiple agencies, but ultimately liked the fit with Roc Nation Sports.

“…The family had good vibes with Roc Nation. I’ve known Jay-Z since I played for the Knicks, but this is what the kids wanted to do. Jay-Z is a master at what he does. He’s global. It’s power beyond power… This is something that they are building from the ground up together. They are brothers and they love each other and that’s how they roll. It’s all love. They don’t separate from each other.”

Jay-Z and Roc Nation Sports currently represent several talented NBA players including Kyrie Irving, Andre Ward, and Danny Green. To add, the popular agency reps players from the MLB, boxing, and even rugby.

Kevin Durant

The Ball brothers were represented by Creative Artists Agency before leaving the company in early 2020, according to multiple media reports. The move followed agent Leon Rose’s exit from CAA to become the New York Knicks’ president.
