Elon Musk Appears To Retract Support For Kanye West’s Presidential Run

Tesla CEO and founder Elon Musk seems to have retracted his support for Kanye West’s sudden presidential campaign, less than a week after the rapper’s shocking announcement. The Space X founder’s tweet started circulating on Twitter and led some users to conclude that he will no longer be supporting Kanye West.

Elon Musk initially wrote this tweet backing Kanye West’s presidential run on July 4th:

“You have my full support!”

Now, his tweet on Friday (July 10th), appears to tell a different story. Elon Musk writes,

“we may have more differences of opinion than I anticipated”

Elon appearing to retract his support from Kanye West’s presidential run is the latest in a series of twists and turns surrounding the rapper’s sudden announcement. There have been reports that the Wests and Kardashians are concerned about Kanye’s mental health and believe that he may be having an episode with his bipolar disorder.

These concerns came up especially after some of the shocking statements that he made in a recent interview with Forbes. Interestingly enough, in that article, Kanye named Elon and his wife, Kim Kardashian West as his campaign advisors. The rapper also said that he was infected with the coronavirus and that he plans to follow a foreign policy based on “Black Panther’s” Wakanda:

“I haven’t developed [my foreign policy] yet. I’m focused on protecting America, first, with our great military. Let’s focus on ourselves first…I am pro-life because I’m following the word of the bible…A lot of Africans do not like the movie [Black Panther] and representation of themselves in…Wakanda. But I’m gonna use the framework of Wakanda right now because it’s the best explanation of what our design group is going to feel like in the White House…That is a positive idea: you got Kanye West, one of the most powerful humans—I’m not saying the most because you got a lot of alien level superpowers and it’s only collectively that we can set it free. Let’s get back to Wakanda…”

The family says he suffers from a breakdown like this one at least once a year, but the 41-year-old eventually stabilizes eventually.
