Tamera Mowry-Housely Debunks Rumors Of Why She Left ‘The Real’: It Had Nothing To Do W/ Salary

Fans of the Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show, “The Real,” were shocked when Tamera Mowry-Housely revealed she was leaving her hosting career. In an Instagram message to fans, Tamera Mowry-Housley said:

“…all good things must come to an end, and it’s with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving on from The Real…To my fellow hosts…I’ll be rooting for you, as I look forward to spending more time with my family, pursuing amazing new opportunities, and embarking on the next chapter of my life.”

While rumors swirled last year that Tamera Mowry-Housely was paid a staggeringly higher salary than Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton – new reports leaked that she left due to a pay cut. However, Tamera took to Instagram Live with her husband, Adam, to debunk rumors of her exit being attributed to money. She said:

“I’m going to say this once. I’ve explained it. I’ve been on “The Real” for six/seven years. I’m just ready to just try new opportunities and spend more time with my family, that’s it.”

She revealed she’s returning to her acting roots:

“I am doing a Hallmark film. There’s new opportunities kind of just popping up out of nowhere and I’m just grateful, grateful, grateful…It’s all positive. Nothing bad. Somebody came through my DMs talking about salary stuff. It had nothing to do with that. Nothing, nothing, nothing. No more explaining about that. Everyone’s good. Everyone’s on good terms. Life is the best that it can be right now.”

Tamera’s exit comes merely weeks after co-host Amanda Seales shared that she chose not to renew her contract on the show.
