Singer Monica Shares Encouraging Words To Jailed Ex Boyfriend C- Murder: You Will Not Fight Alone, I’m About To Be On Some Other Sh*t

Singer Monica began dating New Orleans rapper C-Murder in the late ’90s and she is still showing her love for the imprisioned rapper years later.

Rapper, C-Murder (born Corey Miller) is currently serving life in prison, since August 14, 2009 after he says police forced him to lie when he testified, saying that he is responsible for shooting and killing a teenage fan named Steve Thomas, at a nightclub in 2002. C-Murder previously asked a judge to throw out his murder conviction. In a sworn affidavit filed in the 24th Judicial District Court, a witness named Kenneth Jordan says,

“I know that the individual who I saw shoot the gun was not Corey Miller.”

Monica recently showed love to her former love, on Instagram with some vintage couple pictures and a sweet caption that read,

“It’s a real soldiers day… So the camo was more than intentional … Happy Birthday @cmurder … I pray the next one you will spend free with your daughters! Gods Got it ! Not many know the man you are, so solid, took care of many that don’t even pay you a visit! I watched you pay college tuitions , pay for weddings, buy them homes & cars all while traveling them around the world , teaching us all right from wrong & what to stand on and why to stand on it ! Know the good you’ve done was not in vain … I hit Kermits so you could hear the band play through the phone on your day LOL !! Monica most recently responded to a post by C – Murder yesterday (August 10th) from his Instagram account that read that he is “Tru to who Tru” to him, and after 19 years he is still fighting for his freedom.

Monica hopped in the comments of the post and wrote, “period,” followed by a post on her story writing,

“You are not alone, the fight is about to change because you will not fight alone!! Your daughter and Tru family deserve to have you with them! I’m about to be on some other sh*t”

In 2018 Master P provided new details regarding, Corey “C-Murder” Miller’s murder conviction. A  witness came forward and retracted on their original testimony, confessing they were forced – by law enforcement – to lie under oath and convict Miller of the 2002 slaying of teen, Steve Thomas. Romeo, the nephew to the incarcerated rapper, shared the news to his Instagram, writing,

“My Uncle C has been serving a life sentence behind bars for something he didn’t do and today the whole world knows he’s innocent. The witness recants his testimony and says he was pressured into identifying the ‘famous rapper.”

According to the witness and C-Murder’s attorney, the prosecutor and the police forced Jordan to make false statements, by threatening him with criminal charges in another matter.

C-Murder’s attorney stated,

“He was really their star witness at the second trial. Without him, they don’t get a conviction. “
